This is a 1 min 3 s infrared clip attached to intelligence information report IIR 1 666 S0151 23, titled "Video Footage of Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) captured by fifth generation aircraft on 20 Jan 23". It was uploaded in July 2023. A sensor tracks an area of contrast; from 00:32 it moves in and out of the top of the frame, and a second contrast appears at upper right at 00:48. This was during the weeks before the February 2023 shoot-downs over North America, but the file does not link it to them. *Method note: war.gov blocks this server, and the video itself was not viewed. Everything here comes from the official war.gov description, as reproduced and summarised on the ufotransparency.com mirror page. Release 02 states that on 6 March 2026 eight members of the House asked for 51 potentially UAP-related records. AARO found the responsive material on a classified network, and many items "lack a substantiated chain-of-custody". The quoted titles are uploader-defined, not AARO's, and AARO describes its descriptions as informational only, not analytical judgments. No DVIDS copy of the Release 02 videos was found.*

Plausibility weighs how well an account fits where secrecy hides the documents by design, so missing records never count against it. Strength measures what is documented. Assessed 2026-10-23.

On the record

  • AARO assesses the video is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating within the NORTHCOM area of responsibility in 2023. (DOW-UAP-PR068, official description as summarised by the mirror)
  • A user uploaded the video to a classified network in July 2023. (DOW-UAP-PR068, official description as summarised by the mirror)
  • Video duration is 00:01:03; from 00:00 to 00:31 a sensor tracks an area of contrast near the center of the field-of-view. (DOW-UAP-PR068, official description as summarised by the mirror)
  • From 00:32 to 01:03 the area of contrast moves in and out of frame from the top as the sensor pans to track it. (DOW-UAP-PR068, official description as summarised by the mirror)
  • At 00:48 a second area of contrast becomes visible in the upper right quarter of the screen. (DOW-UAP-PR068, official description as summarised by the mirror)
