The Italian Air Force's published OVNI tables include two entries backed by radar: on 8 February 2005 a military radar controller reported two low, slow objects near Grazzanise, and on 25 January 2019 a private citizen reported an elongated angular object over Maleo, and the Monte Lesima radar recorded a track that could not be unequivocally correlated with it. Both stay catalogued as OVNI.
