AAWSAP DIRD 33: MHD Air Breathing Propulsion and Power for Aerospace Applications
One of the Defense Intelligence Reference Documents written for the Pentagon's AAWSAP program (DIA-08-1011-006, unclassified/FOUO, 33 pages). A technical survey of plasma and MHD propulsion: it judges the Russian Ajax 'MHD bypass' meaningless below Mach 12, the reverse energy bypass with a 'Virtual Cowl' potentially practical, and says Russia, China and Japan could field such technology within about ten years. Nothing in it is about UFOs.

- The released copy redacts the authors; DIA's own title and author list (released to Steven Aftergood, January 2019) and George Knapp's 2018 list both give 'Dr S. Macheret, Lockheed Martin'.
