Sourced, unconfirmed · 2019 (reported 5 June 2021)
The PLA has its own term for UAP, 不明空情, 'unidentified air conditions'. In 2019 a researcher at the Air Force Early Warning Academy reported that such events were rapidly increasing and challenged China's air defence, and proposed a national database and AI system to sort them. The South China Morning Post reported it in 2021.
