The RS/33 telegrams and recovery protocol (Magenta, 1933)
Sourced, unconfirmed · 13 June 1933 · Rome and Magenta, Italy
The documents at the core of the Magenta 1933 story: three Stefani agency telegrams of 13 June 1933 that order silence about "the presumed landing of an unknown aircraft", then announce it was "recognized as a meteor", then stop the news; a cover note for the RS/33 cabinet; and a nine-step recovery protocol. They reached Roberto Pinotti anonymously in 1996, and he had the paper and ink tested as period-correct. Gerb compares the protocol's secrecy rules with AFR 200-2 and the MJ-12 papers.

- The protocol: recover, arrest witnesses, report only to RS/33, publish meteor stories, exclude other scientists, hide the cost.
- Status: tested period-correct, not authenticated.
On the record
- Pinotti's forensic test of paper and ink.
