Directed energy (lasers and high-power microwaves)
Weapons and tools that deliver energy as a beam: high-energy lasers and high-power microwaves. McCasland ran the Space Based Laser program and later worked at the firm behind the LOCUST laser. Amy Eskridge said she was being hit by such a weapon before her death, which is the root of the 'DEW' strand of the theory.
On the record
- LOCUST is a real Army counter-drone laser in the BlueHalo/AeroVironment lineage.
- A military laser downed a CBP drone at Fort Hancock on 26 Feb 2026, the day before McCasland vanished.
- AFRL's first Directed Energy director, R. Earl Good, has died (Kirtland release).
- The SECRET/NOFORN AAWSAP laser-weapons DIRD remains withheld.
- GEC-Marconi deaths: police found no connection.
