On 31 July 1980 Bo Berg, later head of Sweden's War Archives, and his wife watched a tubular object three or four metres long with fins make a controlled U-turn and land in a forest lake in Muddus National Park, where it sank. The defence research agency took their report but kept the file. A dive expedition searched the lake in 2012.
