Evidenceofficial records

Between 02:00 and 04:00 on 13 October 2026, three pilots landing at or leaving Nuremberg airport separately reported an object they could not rule out was a drone. Border police searched with drone detectors, patrol cars and a helicopter, together with DFS, and found nothing; six flights were delayed and two diverted to Cologne and Prague. Police suggested an optical illusion or a nearby lorry fire, neither demonstrated, and the investigation is open. The midday airport closure that day, when a Corendon flight squawked 7500, was a separate event.
