WhereSt. Lawrence area, Wind River Range, Wyoming

In 2003, at dusk in the St. Lawrence area of the Wind River Range, Wyoming, elk hunter Gary Medicine Cloud of the Wind River Reservation and a friend watched a huge, silent, matte-black triangle with no lights fly low between two mountain tops. About 15 minutes later it passed them again, then turned 90 degrees and climbed straight up until it was a speck of light. He told the story to Cowboy State Daily after PURSUE Release 07 described a similar triangle seen by federal agents; the two accounts are similar, not linked.

About 15 minutes later it flew right back by them, slowly and in complete silence; he puts it at 20 to 40 yards long, all black with no lights and no visible propulsion, close enough that he could easily have hit it with his rifle.firsthandSourced, unconfirmedGary Medicine Cloud
On the second pass it made a 90-degree turn and climbed in a straight line until it was a little speck of light; his friend watched it too.firsthandSourced, unconfirmedGary Medicine Cloud
He first wondered whether it was a new military aircraft heading to Riverton to refuel, then decided it did not fit: "That's not no Air Force ship. That's a UFO."firsthandSourced, unconfirmedGary Medicine Cloud
