Ingo Swann, 'Penetration: The Question of Extraterrestrial and Human Telepathy' (1998)

Swann's account of remote viewing the Moon in 1975-77 for a covert group led by 'Mr. Axelrod' (Part One), his case that the Moon was more active than NASA let on (Part Two), and his argument that telepathy is the human faculty most suppressed (Part Three). Read in full from Igor's scan (160 pages); summarised with short quotes only. The book is on the record as Swann's account; the Moon sessions themselves rest on his word alone.

On the record

  • The CIA funded SRI's remote viewing from late 1972, as Swann says (p. 2); confirmed by Puthoff (1996) and the CIA's 1995 declassification.
  • The 27 April 1973 Jupiter session with Harold Sherman is in the CIA reading room.
  • NASA TR R-277 (1968) catalogued 579 lunar events before Apollo, so NASA took lunar lights seriously, as Swann says.
  • Apollo 18 was headed for Schröter's Valley on the Aristarchus Plateau, the most active lights region, and was cancelled on 2 September 1970.
  • Lunar Prospector announced water ice in March 1998, and the Moon has a thin exosphere (Apollo 17 LACE; Potter and Morgan, 1988).
  • The densities Swann gives (Moon 3.34, Earth 5.5 g/cm³) are right.
  • Gen. Igor Maltsev of Soviet Air Defence was quoted in Rabochaya Tribuna, 19 April 1990, on a disc 100-200 m wide with two pulsating lights.
  • Swann's two 'cigar' photos are real Apollo frames: AS11-37-5438 and AS16-120-19238 (see the cigar photos case).

  • Who 'Mr. Axelrod' was. He is a pseudonym and no document names him or his program.
