National Air and Space Intelligence Center

The Air Force's center for foreign air, space and missile intelligence, descended from ATIC and the Foreign Technology Division that ran Project Blue Book. Matthew Sullivan served here before his 2024 death. In UFO lore it is the natural home of any exploited 'foreign' materiel, including crash debris.

On the record

  • Lineage: ATIC (1951), FTD (1961), FASTC (1992), NAIC (1993), NASIC (2003).
  • Sullivan's obituary lists NASIC among his assignments.
  • ATIC at Wright-Patterson ran Project Blue Book from 1952.
  • NASIC has never been documented as holding UAP material; AARO Vol. 1 found no evidence of recovered craft.
