Arthur Stansel Jr

Arthur Stansel Jr, an Air Materiel Command engineer, is the "Fritz Werner" of the 1973 Kingman affidavit witnessed by Raymond Fowler. He swore that on 21 May 1953, while on loan to the AEC for the Upshot-Knothole tests, he helped examine a 30-ft crashed disc near Kingman, Arizona, and saw its small occupant. The db's Kingman record spells him Stancil; Gerb says the correct spelling is Stansel. Richard Gilde Jr's research confirms his career.

On the record

  • The affidavit of 7 June 1973.
  • His Wright Field, Manhattan Project and Apollo career (Gilde).
