The 1953 Kingman, Arizona UFO Crash
Gerb's case file on Kingman, 20-21 May 1953. Its core is the affidavit Arthur Stansel Jr signed as "Fritz Werner" on 7 June 1973, witnessed by Raymond Fowler: a 30-ft oval craft sunk in the sand without damage and a 4-ft occupant in a silver suit. Bill Uhouse adds that he flew a disc simulator built from it. Richard Gilde Jr's research confirms both men's careers, and Eric Wang appears in the Upshot-Knothole papers. Gerb keeps the Stringfield sources apart and marks Judy Woolcott's story as shown false by Nick Redfern.
On the record
- The 7 June 1973 affidavit, published by Fowler.
- Gilde's career checks for Stansel (Wright Field, Upshot-Knothole) and Uhouse (USMC, Link Aviation).
- Eric Wang named in the Upshot-Knothole documents as director of special studies.
Open questions
- Stansel's impact speed: Gerb gives about 1,200 mph, the affidavit text read on screen gives none.
Leads to follow
- Richard Gilde Jr's Medium article and its sources.
- Upshot-Knothole staff lists for Doll, Wang and Stansel.
