Kirtland Air Force Base

A crowded federal campus in southeast Albuquerque holding Sandia, AFRL's directed-energy and space directorates, DTRA, the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center and three KCNSC sites. McCasland commanded AFRL's Phillips Research Site here and later worked for a contractor that sold to it. Garcia worked for KCNSC's New Mexico operation. It is also the site of the 1980 Bennewitz and Doty affair, the template for 'disinformation' stories.
