Jacques Vallée
Computer scientist and astronomer who designed AAWSAP's data warehouse. He was the model for Lacombe in Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Spielberg has said so). His control-system hypothesis runs from The Invisible College (1975) through Messengers of Deception (1979). Forbidden Science 6: Scattered Castles (2025) covers his journals for 2010-2019.
